Freedom: A Discipleship Guide to Recovery through Jesus Christ-Getting to the Root and Rebuilding the Temple is a Christ centered, faith based and biblically grounded process for walking beside another and guiding them to true freedom and healing in Christ. The Leadership Guide fully prepares and equips the leader to guide and speak the Truth of Christ in God's Word to an individual or individuals that are seeking lasting and enduring recovery from the lies of addictions, compulsions, obsessions, pains or whatever chain are binding them. The Participant Guide is in a workbook format that helps lead the participants through specific and targeted scripture and guided questions to intentionally illicit responses that brings clarity to the their understandings and misunderstandings of the meaning and application of the topic and scripture presented. Short application stories are used to introduce topics and each section contains applicable scripture reading, targeted questions, scripture memorization, guided prayer, Spirit lead reflection and note-taking for follow up discussion. When used in conjunction, the Leadership Guide and Participant Guide speak into the lies that those who are struggling with addiction, compulsions, obsessions and chains that bind them are most often deceived by, those misunderstandings and false doctrines they believe that keep them bound, and the Truths found in God's Word that will set them free.
