Alanis Elliot lives a regular adolescence in Salisbury with her father, Johnny, an ex-priest of a quite rigid and sometimes even ridiculous ways. The arrival of a mysterious warning letter completely destabilizes Johnny, who is looking for a way to escape from the city. However, Alanis is too busy in her plan to escape from the house to attend the Halloween night parties to notice that something sinister threatens them. After being rescued from the attack of a group of bloody vampires, Alanis manages to return home to discover that her father has disappeared.
