Sam Southern: For the Defense I"So you've go no alibi and the gun has your initials on it? Have I got that right? And on top of that plenty of people heard you threatening the victim? Boy, do YOU need a lawyer - and a good one. And those kind don't come cheap.""I don't have a lot of money.""Well, I do know this one woman. Sam Southern. She's very good, but I do have to warn you - her clients are never guilty."A badly decomposed body has been discovered in an old Indian burial mound at Bowman Field, and it is not long before Tiffany McAvoy's name comes to the attention of the local police. Two years earlier, McAvoy's estranged lover, Sonja Radowski, had left Louisville for South America - or so it had been thought. Now her bones had turned up only yards away from the airplane hanger where her Cessna 172 was garaged. The fact that Tiffany was known to have bought a gun and made angry threats against Sonja had not helped her case. When the murder weapon with her initials on it serendipitously surfaces, Tiffany McAvoy is quickly arrested for the murder of Sonja Radowski. As evidence against her client mounts, and with time running out, it is up to Sam Southern and her team to put the pieces of this mystery together and learn what really happened that fateful night two years earlier. Defense attorney Sam Southern will need all of her skills and those of her crack female team - along with a little luck - to vindicate her latest client.
