The recording stars the African American stage actor William Marshall as Othello, the Moor of Venice, with Ludi Claire as Desdemona, Jay Robinson as Iago, and Martin Donegan as Cassio. The sound quality is very good, and the vocal performance clear and well paced. Robinson gives a chilling performance as the villainous Iago.
