High-class, progressive, innovative, visionary, unique and noble DARK EPIC METAL.

WITHERFALL is the band of guitar virtuoso Jake Dreyer (Iced Earth) and exceptional vocal talent Joseph Michael (Sanctuary).

WITHERFALL's second album proves why this band is justly considered the only legitimate heir to bands like Queensryche, Nevermore, Sanctuary, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, King Diamond.

Artwork by Kristian Wåhlin (Dissection, King Diamond, Emperor etc.).

Mixed and mastered by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Sanctuary, Queensryche and many more).

WITHERFALL's out-of-nowhere debut album release "Nocturnes And Requiems" left many people speechless. The band's well-balanced mix of virtuose musicianship, skilled song writing and real metal power did not only surprised the press, but left a real impact on the entire metal scene. Now comes "A Prelude To Sorrow", WITHERFALL's second album. If you think they cannot top the debut, think again. The prime combination of Jake Dreyer's wicked guitar leads, Joseph Michael's diverse vocals, the tight and powerful rhythm section makes "A Prelude To Sorrow" an album-of-the-year contender. This is challenging, daring, fresh and very powerful dark epic metal. Flawless. "A Prelude To Sorrow" is available as ltd. Digipak CD and deluxe gatefold 2LP (with etching on side D).
