Former Las Vegas musician John Gould (musical director / keyboardist for the Drifters, Fitzgerald's Casino ) has played clarinet, soprano sax and keyboards for 30 years. Born in Pensacola, Florida, his musical influences range from mainstream jazz, to classical and baroque music, blues, rock, and many other genres. His recent release, 'Wouldwinds', marks a return to his clarinet/sax roots, and is a follow-up to his earlier CD 'The Idea of South'. He has collaborated with the phenomenal blues guitarist Steve Harper, also a former Las Vegan, now a resident of Memphis. When not making music, he can be found fishing (and sometimes catching something) in fabulous Lake Maumelle in central Arkansas.
