The Man Who Plays the Horn Apl
Jay Orlando
Since he first broke out on his own in 1956, Tenor saxophonist Jay Orlando has played big band swing, Dixieland dance music, country music, rock 'n' roll and symphonic music. A much in-demand session player, Orlando has appeared on many recordings and was a featured soloist on Willie Nelson's 1995 album "Augusta." Presented here is Orlando's classic late 1970's recording of jazz classics, "The Man Who Plays the Horn Aplenty," featuring his tenor saxophone with Jack Holland (piano); Bob Massimino (bass) and R.V. Brand (drums). All selections newly remastered.
