Himmel & Ääd EP (Mri Remix) Tandem

The seventh Release of Klangfarbe Schallplatten comes with two powerful tracks of the label manager, producer and DJ?Team Tandem, including a wonderful Remix by no other than Stephan Lieb, aka MRI (The head behind RESOPAL). MRI has been behind and upfront on a variety of dancemusic’s most-cherished productions and he is also in charge with doing the whole upcoming EP (KLA08), which will also contain a Tandem remix vice versa. With “Ääd” Tandem delivers a massive groover, with lots of rhythmic details, and an atmospheric melody all over it. A deep bassline starts the track off nicely, a delayed melody begins by lurking in the background and slowly emerges to the fore. It comes in a wave, slowly enveloping all other elements of the track, before the kick restores balance. Rolling and eminently clubbable. “Himmel” starts straight with some one tone loops which develops into a bouncy melody, accompanied by unobtrusive atmospheric pads. This combinations gives the track a kind of melancholy without loosing his playfulness. This really feels like “heaven". The MRI remix of “Himmel” is more atmospheric than the original track, but develops into a complex sound collage with a tribal and percussive flow. He forms a great atmosphere with a deep warmth and futurism pads over it. Tandem’s view of heaven - the MRI remix is wonderfully raising it up, scratching the space. Tandem blossoms into the sound of life. Time stands still. Everything seems to be imaginable, excepting life without music. Close your eyes, raise your hands! Tandem takes you on a journey.
