Love's Lost Melody
Therese Martini
Ruled by an ambitious stage mother, Renee and Ray Shaw are catapulted to fame as Big Band singers. Renee discovers love when she meets the charming Val, a talented musician. World-War II tears the youngsters apart. Renee continues her career, moving from New York to Hollywood and marriage to Dave, her manager. But memories of Val disturb her otherwise happy life."In the forty-year span of this story, you will experience the full gamut of emotions as you live through love affairs, deaths, and Irene's motivation to resume her career after a near tragic bout with illegal drug."West Coast Review of Books 1982
