This collection of images over the centuries brings to light some of the people, events, and institutions that made Watervliet, New York an important and early manufacturing center in the Capital District. This second volume presents Watervliet's Erie Canal. Scenes along the canal of businesses, manufacturers, mom and pop stores, homes, and people that give the city this rich history. Many old timers will remember many of the stories each picture presents and provide to the younger reader a historical context to where they live and call home.
