Ready. Set. Discover Logan
Karen Tyrrell
Yana, a refugee, arrives in the City of Logan with her family, feeling alone. She's not sure what children can do in Logan. Yana meets Bunji, an Aboriginal boy at a Logan City library. Bunji shows Yana the best places for kids to explore and play. Join Yana as she discovers Logan for the first time.
This is an Australian story, full of fun and innovation.
Ready. Set. Discover Logan! is an inspiring guide for children and families to explore the City of Logan. It promotes pride, awareness and recognition of Logan City.
The book characters, Yana and Bunji, bring Logan to life with pro-active themes of innovation, technology, urban green environment, literacy, assimilation, multi-culturalism, resilience, health, diversity, and acceptance.
Karen has dedicated Ready. Set. Discover Logan! to the children and families of Logan, our new arrivals and the original people of Australia, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. She hopes that we all thrive in our urban green community.
