Life in a small Pennsylvania mining town in the early 1900's. This is a special look at the way the town came to be and the people who brought it to life. The character of this little town is told in a way that it has you learning history without knowing it. The book is filled with people and places as the 20th century springs in to life for the people living in the area. The Lumpbusters baseball team, mining in Lottie #1 and Lottie #2. A look in to the General Store with its pickle barrel and pot belly stove. The sensation of Haley's Comet in 1910 and the heart break of a double murder in the small town. It was what life was that brought life and history to Garrett, Pennsylvania.
