Publisher Marketing: Calvin's Christmas Wish is a charming children's tale of love for family and animals during the special Christmas season. Beautifully illustrated, this storybook transcends ages and reveals a message that will have meaning to each of us. Young Paxton and his family are going to celebrate the Christmas holiday with Paxton's chocolate Labrador, Calvin. They can hardly wait to arrive at their vacation spot in Stowe, Vermont, where they can cut down the perfect tree and decorate it in their cabin on Christmas Eve! But Calvin, being a typical dog, becomes inquisitive and sneaks out of the cabin to chase squirrels in the snow. He continues to wander, playing with a skunk, a family of deer, and a bear in the woods, only to get lost on his venture in the unfamiliar forest. Calvin only wishes to return to Paxton and his family so he can help decorate the tree. Being alone in the woods upsets and worries Calvin, until he meets an unexpected furry friend who offers to help. The love of family, pets, and holiday traditions is tenderly conveyed in Calvin's Christmas Wish. The treasure of friendship, the value of helping others, and the beauty of forgiveness are depicted in this heartwarming tale to be enjoyed by anyone who has ever loved an animal or cherished a holiday tradition. The importance of relationships among family and friends is highlighted with charm and humor in a way that encourages the good to come forth from each of us. Calvin's Christmas Wish is sure to become a classic favorite for children and the young at heart to share and enjoy in years to come. Contributor Bio:  Weaver, Julie Leiman I like to have fun, and I like to write. So it makes sense that I write fun books for kids! When I was younger, I traveled the world, working in the graphic arts industry. Now I love to spend my free time cooking, reading and getting together with friends. Writing has come to me later in life. I am so happy that I have found my passion, at last. All my life, I have been an avid reader. I try to never miss the chance to learn something new. I married my high school sweetheart, Mary, 32 years ago. She works in the medical profession. We have two daughters, Katie and Maddie. Katie is in college, on her way to being a psychologist. Maddie, who is in high school, is going to write books too, someday. I spend a good part of my day writing, and I never pass up the chance to eat a good cheese burger! I want kids to read, to learn and most of all...to have fun doing it! Hamilton 'Cheese' Burger
