Running from an abusive live in boyfriend, Stephanie heads south on the first highway she comes to. She ends up in Sargent, Texas, a sleepy little fishing village. She makes new friends, gets a job and a place to live and meets Captain Jack off the tugboat Sea Gypsy. She settles into her new life but her old one finds her and the terror starts. Sh manages to deal with all the threats and sails off with Jack on his vessel. Nothing could be better, but she awakens on the same picnic table on the beach, she had fallen asleep on when she first got into town. She was sore, cold, and hungry and the bruise on her cheek still hurt. It had all been a wonderful dream, but that was all it was, a Dream. Can she recapture it or is it all gone forever?
