Reflections of a Sometime Thinker Donald Michael Craig

Enter a world where Truth abounds, where a lyrical turn of phrase so delicately and precisely illumines this Truth that grasping it is suddenly effortless and miraculously empowering. This is the world created by Donald Michael Craig in his beautiful collection Reflections of a Sometime Thinker. Here we experience first-hand what mystics and spiritual thinkers the world over have invited us to ponder: the balance between what we access through our five senses, and what we are capable of accessing through the untapped power of Love. There is nothing religious or dogmatic in the writing; on the contrary, Craig would draw aside the shrouds of earth's religions to reveal the essential truth behind human incarnation and the workings of the universe. Although the "Reflections" are wonderfully poetic, this is not poetry but a personal philosophy conveyed in the familiar vertical structure of poetry. The verse form of simple sentences beautifully emphasizes the energy of words and how they can affect the reader through their placement, their juxtaposition, their repetition. Artfully composed, these works are gems of age-old spiritual thought to which Craig brings new light, from the perspective of the 21st century, and the problematic ambiance in which we reside. He emphasizes the opening up of our times to a radical new way of being, reflected all over the world in humanity's effort to wake up and see the beauty, truth and joy in our experience on Earth - a call not to arms but to Love.
