Mary & Joseph 1975
Licia Ecke
What if Mary and Joseph from the Christmas story were teenagers in 1970's America? Would it change the story? Would it be easier to connect and understand this oft-told tale? Mary becomes the daughter of Ward and June, members of the Nazareth Country Club. She just got engaged to Joe, a carpenter whose parents are former hippies Sonny and Cher. When Mary tells Joe that she's pregnant at their engagement party, things get a little crazy. This edgy musical has ten original songs and will definitely change the way you look at the Christmas story.
