CONFORM, OR TRANSFORM?
When life throws you a curveball that your religious beliefs can't accommodate, you either climb into a conformist cage of unhappiness or find a new way to live. Rearview Poetry: Unraveling a Lifetime of Anxiety is Jason Greer's story of navigating a family mental health crisis and his subsequent "deconstruction" from the fundamentalist religion he grew up in.
As Jason discovered a world that had been denied him, he also found healing through self-expression. One day he wrote a poem. Then another. And another. Years of anxiety came tumbling out, followed by emotions and possibilities he never knew existed.
Follow Jason's journey in poetry and prose as he reflects on his experience with fundamentalism and family mental health issues. Walk with him out of the emotional wilderness into a joyful, evolving awareness.
