What is read and what is not read in Cuba? What kind of politics produces what is read? What kind of literature produces what is not read? Rafael Rojas approaches these questions by looking at the relationships between literature and politics in revolutionary and post soviet Cuba. This is a journey through the exiled literature in Cuba not published on the island, a book that attempts to measure the weight of what has been excluded. Finally, it is also a memory of the generation of writers and artists who, in their youth, witnessed the fall of the Berlin wall and today are scattered between the island and exile
