Judith King has been looking forward to her best friend's wedding, and will even be hosting her friend's two cousins for the big event. But when Samuel and David Fischer arrive, Judith is a bit surprised. While Samuel is kind and polite, his older brother David is very unhappy to even be there at all. It seems David's family has lost their farm and they will have to move, and he blames himself for it.
Judith feels badly for David, and does her best to help him feel welcome. And as the days go by, she realizes that she is also drawn this complicated young man. But David seems determined to find way to save his family's farm and go back home. Judith knows she wants the best for David and his family, but she cannot deny her feelings for him.
Has she fallen in love at last, only to lose David to the life he prefers?
