Bridge of Spies National Album Day 2025 Red Vinyl edition

To celebrate National Album Day 2025, Universal Music Recordings is reissuing T’Pau’s 1987 debut album Bridge Of Spies on LP for the first time, as a limited edition red vinyl. The Shropshire band’s debut album originally peaked at No. 1 in November 1987, spent 44 weeks on the UK album chart, and ultimately achieved 4× Platinum status, selling over 1.4 million copies in the UK alone.

Bridge Of Spies features the hit singles Heart And Soul (UK No. 4, US No. 4), Valentine (No. 9), I Will Be With You (No. 14), and the original version of the timeless power ballad China In Your Hand, which topped the UK chart for five consecutive weeks.

Taking their name from a character in the sci-fi TV series Star Trek, T’Pau consisted of singer and songwriter Carol Decker, guitarist and songwriter Ronnie Rogers, drummer Tim Burgess, keyboardist Michael Chetwood, and second guitarist Taj Wyzgowski. The band went on to record four more studio albums and continue to perform live to this day.
