? The FOUR PREPS were arguably the most versatile vocal group of their era, comfortable in almost any format, be it folk, doo wop, r&r, pop, Tin Pan Alley standards and even comedic material.

? They recorded successfully in each of these styles, and in particular enjoyed enormous success with parodies, which became pretty much their stock in trade.

? This compilation presents the Very Best of their singles' releases between 1956 and 1962, and includes thirteen US hits, of which eight were reportedly million-sellers: '26 Miles (Santa Catalina)', 'Big Man', 'Lazy Summer Night'/'Summertime Lies', 'Down By The Station', 'Got A Girl', 'More Money For You And Me' and 'The Big Draft'.

? Also included are hits like 'Dreamy Eyes', 'Cinderella', 'Big Surprise', 'I Ain't Never' and 'Calcutta'.

? This is by far the most comprehensive compilation of this body of work, while several of their early sides are difficult to find elsewhere on CD.
