This album is a unique collaboration between the renowned Jazz trumpet player Eric Vloeimans and a full scale classical orchestra. It premiers Vloeimans' very own trumpet concerto, Evensong. Together with the orchestra and conductor Jurjen Hempel, Vloeimans strikes a bridge between many different styles. Vloeimans' trumpet playing is inventive, virtuosic and above all elegant.
