I Found a Friend
Clarence Fountain and the Blind Boys
Clarence Fountain, born in Tyler, Alabama in 1929, was a founding member and leader of the Blind Boys of Alabama, a legendary gospel group formed in 1939. Despite losing his sight in infancy, Fountain's deep, soulful voice and charismatic leadership propelled the Blind Boys to international acclaim. "I Found a Friend," originally released on the ALA label in 1979, marks a poignant reunion for Clarence Fountain & The Blind Boys of Alabama following Clarence Fountain's solo ventures, bringing him back together with original bandmates Johnny Fields, George Scott, Leroy Burke, and Robert Weaver. Reissued for the first time on heavyweight colour edition vinyl, you can own a piece of unique gospel history.
