The 11 11 / Hello Nest’
Mike Monday
Mike Monday is an underground legend; from his days in ‘Beat Foundation’ with Andy Cato, one half of Groove Armada’s to his massive first album, Smorgasbord, he never fails to delight, inspire and amaze breaking new ground with his productions. His debut album ‘Smorgasbord’ was ‘Album of the Month’ in i-DJ, DJ Mag called it ‘an LP we just can’t put down’ and One Week To Live heralded it as ‘a classic’. Returning with his new album, ‘Songs Without Words’, on Om Records Mike Monday drops two stripped back, house heavy, tech toned, dancefloor bombs…boom! ‘The 11 11’ is a bass bin rumbler that builds a rhythmic beat and edgy synth riff into a swirling mass of energy. ‘Hello Nest’ is a cheeky blend of beats n bleeps that groove along to a techno vibe and will slide easily into any set. Add in artwork from acclaimed artist, Drunk Park, and you’ve got yourself a tasty package!
