The Danish band CODY is back with their sixth album Everything Falls Apart Into Place, released on September 19. The album follows up on the masterpiece Win Some from 2020 and marks yet another atmospheric chapter in the band’s musical journey.

The music moves effortlessly between Weezer-inspired ’90s bangers like Time Is Up and Beach Boys-tinged vocal triumphs like Backwards. As the album’s title and tracklist suggest, it’s about looking back—not with nostalgia, but with a reflective and hopeful perspective on the experiences that shape us as human beings. At the heart of it all stands the title track, where Kaspar Kaae sings, “To sit and watch the wind in the trees” with both desperation and calm—a picture of life’s center and all its contradictions.

Although CODY is often categorized as indie or folk, the band’s musical range has made it difficult to place them in a single genre. They manage to unite the intimate and the grand, the modern and the timeless—an ability that has earned them a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim both in Denmark and abroad.

CODY—short for "Come On Die Young"—was formed in Copenhagen in 2006 and has since been a significant name on the Danish indie and folk scene. With their atmospheric sound spanning from chamber-like intimacy to sweeping sonic landscapes, they have built a reputation as one of Denmark’s most evocative live bands.

The album Everything Falls Apart Into Place was created by a collective team around Kaspar Kaae: Rasmus Todbjerg, Line Felding, David Fjelstrup, Asker Bjørk, and Frederik Thybo—bringing together the raw and the moving, the musically complex and the instantly gripping.
